Thomas Myers
1959 - 2025
Thomas C. Myers, age 66, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, after a 5-year battle with Lou Gehrig’s Disease, at Defiance Inpatient Hospice Center, where he was surrounded by his loving family.
Tom was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a lifelong hard worker at Guardian Glass (Carlex) for 30 years and provided for his girls. He had a passion for his vegetable and flower garden, cooking, and baking. While cooking you could often hear him exclaim “I am Chef!”
Tom was baptized in Christ in the year 2000. He was an active member of Family Christian Center in Defiance, OH. He enjoyed singing and playing his guitar for friends and family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cathy Myers; his four children, Amanda (Michael) Treece, Ashley Myers, Sarah (Matthew) Volbert, and Caitlyn (Nick) Vulgamott. He was a proud grandfather of Jillian, Brayden, and Jennifer Treece.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Cyril and Mary (Champion) Myers; four siblings, Linda, Bonnie, Betty, and Sue; nephew, Jason, and his father-in-law, Earl.
