1932 - 2026
PAULDING, OHIO - James Leroy Maynard, age 93, of Paulding, died on April 12, 2026. James was born on June 17, 1932, in Kentucky, to the late Roy and Sally (Daniels) Maynard.
James was not afraid of hard work. He worked in various industries throughout his life. He enjoyed taking walks and driving. In his youth, he and his brothers participated in drag racing often. He even maintained his license well into his 90s. He also loved his sweets, pies and cakes especially. James adored his family, created a lot of unforgettable memories, and will be missed by all who loved him.
He is survived by his children, Debbie McHugh, David (Brenda) Maynard, Dawn, James Lee Maynard, and “James “Jim” Maynard Jr; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; siblings, Robert (Sue) Maynard and Mona Maynard, and long-time friend, Jacqueline Hardman.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Nick Maynard; a daughter, Kim 3 brothers, Jack Maynard, Frank Maynard, Todd Maynard and 2 sister, Betty and Joyce Snodgrass.
