DONNA, TEXAS - Armando Rangel Sr., age 72, of Donna, Texas, entered the gates of Heaven on June 22, 2026. A man of profound faith and hard work. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion that will be cherished by all who knew him. He was born on August 3, 1953, in Galveston, Texas to the Pastor Ascencion G. and Elida (Suarez) Rangel. Armando graduated from Stryker High School in 1970.

Throughout his life, he was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and craftsmanship, working for many years as both a talented carpenter and a professional truck driver. Above all his earthly accomplishments, Armando will be most remembered for his unwavering faith in God, which guided him through life and served as an inspiration to his family.
 
He is survived by his children, Monica (Jose) Valadez of Archbold, Ohio, Armando (Jodi) Rangel Jr. of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Damaris Rangel of Brownsville, Texas; grandchildren, Leandra (Diego) Hernandez, Selena (Zach) Rodriguez, Solomon (Savannah) Rangel, Joseph Rangel, Reuben Rangel, and David Rangel; five great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Pastor Elizabeth R. Perez, Elida Arredondo, Ruth R. Garza, Pastor Samuel Rangel, and Dalila R. Munoz.
 
Armando was reunited in Heaven with his parents, Pastor Ascencion G. and Elida Rangel, and his siblings, Maria Flores, Dora Gonzalez, Manuel Rangel, Seledina Delgado, and Ernestina Villanueva.
 
Visitation will be held from 3:30 – 5:30 PM on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Hebron Ministries, 1123 Ayersville Ave., Defiance, Ohio. A Christ-centered memorial service will follow at the church in honor of Armando’s life at 5:30 PM with Pastor Vince Cantu officiating.
 
Flowers may be delivered to the church on Saturday, between 3:00 – 5:30 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the church in honor of Armando. Donation envelopes will be provided at the church.
