NEW CARLISLE, OH – Diana Jean Hackworth, age 78, of New Carlisle, passed away on Tuesday May 21, 2024, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She was born on February 19, 1946, in Lima, Ohio, to the late William E. and Alvena W. (Rostorfer) Kirtley. In addition to her parents, Diana was preceded in death by her husband, Kennith Hackworth, Sr.; her daughter, Kaylena Blair; her brother, William Kirtley, Jr.; and her sister, Janet Miller.

Diana is survived by her daughter, Bethel Blair; her sons, Mark (Jamie) Hackworth, Paul (Lori) Hackworth, and Kennith (Beth) Hackworth, Jr.; her grandchildren, Charlie, Maggie, P.J., Leanne, Tiffany, Brandon, Ryan, Jared, and Evelyn; her great grandchildren; and her brother, Harry P. (Nancy) Kirtley; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Diana had an adventurous spirit. She loved to travel, go camping, ziplining, and the absolute beauty of God’s creation. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Victory Church in Fairborn where she used to sing in the choir.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 28, 2024, from 10:00 AM until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 AM, at Victory Church, 2443 Valle Greene Drive, Fairborn, Ohio 45324, with Pastor Derek Trenum officiating. Burial will follow at Vale Cemetery in New Carlisle.
