In loving memory of
David “Dave” Andrew Killiany
1953 - 2026
SUGARCREEK, OHIO – David “Dave” Andrew Killiany, age 73, of Sugarcreek, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2026. Dave was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. He was the kind of man who lived a life centered on what mattered most - his faith, his family, and helping others. He was born in Cambridge, OH on February 18, 1953, to the late Andrew and Ann (Miziker) Killiany. Dave was a beloved husband for 51 years to his wife Cathy. Together they raised a family that was his greatest pride.
In addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Brandon Pieper.
Dave's greatest passions were his faith in Jesus Christ, his family, and living a life of purpose. He cared deeply for anyone who was sick and hurting.
Dave was the person everyone turned to when something needed fixed or when advice was needed. He had a gift for solving problems and thinking outside the box. Dave was a natural leader, creative and driven, with an entrepreneurial spirit. His love for tinkering kept his hands and mind busy throughout his life.
Dave loved the sunshine, second generation Chevy Camaros, working on new projects, marketing new business ideas, and dreaming big. He believed in taking care of both body and spirit and often reminded those around him, “Don’t gamble with what you can’t afford to lose.” It was one of many pieces of wisdom he generously shared.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing Dave is at peace due to His Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and that his legacy lives on through the family he adored, the lives he touched, and the faith he lived each day. His love, wisdom, strength, generosity, unwavering faith and servant’s heart will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
In addition to his wife, Cathy, Dave is survived by his children, Jason (Sarah) Killiany of Frazeysburg, Joseph (Nikki) Killiany of Cambridge, and Connie Pieper of Cambridge; his grandchildren, Claire, Lauren, Annie, Isaac & Callie Killiany, Jordan (Logan) Hickle, Remington, Blaike, Huxley & Ryker Killiany, Alexis, Kaleigh & Troy Pieper.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Harvest Christian Fellowship, 6060 Glenn Hwy., Cambridge, OH 43725. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at the church with members of the family officiating. Burial will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cambridge, OH.
Flowers may be delivered to the church on Friday between 9:00 – 11:00 AM. Memorial donations may be made to the church in Dave’s honor. Donation envelopes will be provided at the church. For additional information and to view Dave’s online obituary please visit www.churchfuneralsdirect.com.
