Robert Allen Hesson
1956 - 2025
ARLINGTON, OH – Robert “Bob” Allen Hesson, age 69, January 4, 1956 - August 4, 2025. Robert married Rea Ann Funkhouser on January 13, 1992. They have two sons: Luther A. Hesson and Waylon W. Hesson. From Luther he has five grandchildren: Jordon, Justin, Luther, Austyn, and Maverick. Robert also has two sons from a previous marriage: Joshua J. Hesson and Isaiah A. Hesson. From Isaiah he has one grandchild: Keely.
Robert is the son of Luther A. Hesson and Wanda L. (Wood) Hesson. Both are deceased. Robert has five siblings, two deceased and three living. Deceased: John S. Hesson and Barbara J. Higgins. Living: Jane M. (Tim) Glick, Thomas W. Hesson, and Diane L. Hesson. Also, sister-in-law, Terri (John) Hesson.
Robert loved to adventure and show his family and friends the places he found. His boys and their friends always thought he was the strongest and the coolest. They enjoyed his fun-loving attitude, jokes, stories, adventuring, and going to race together. Robert loved auto racing, classic cars, and Fords. He also always loved classic rock, but grew to love the old hymns as well. Co-workers and friends loved his warm smile and some called him "Smiley." Robert loved to spend time with his family and friends. His hope was for all those he loved and cared about to get their lives right with the Lord so he could see them again in glory. He didn't want any goodbyes. God brought a lot of restoration into Robert's life with many people before coming to take him home to glory. Robert will be greatly missed by many. Many of those that knew him and loved him are looking forward to seeing him again in glory.
A memorial service honoring the life of Robert Hesson will be held at 5:00 PM on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 1635 Fostoria Ave., Findlay, OH 45840. Pastor Mike Maskell will officiate. There will not be a visitation. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Thursday between 3:00-5:00 PM.
