In loving memory of
Martha Nicholson
1931 - 2026
NAPOLEON, OHIO - Martha Mae Nicholson, age 94, was welcomed to her heavenly home by the embrace of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 7, 2026. She was born in Weston, Ohio to the late George Dilsaver and Roberta (Bishop) Dilsaver on July 23, 1931. On December 15, 1951, she married Lewis Nicholson, who preceded her in death. Together they had two children. A daughter, Diane Nicholson (her caregiver and whom she lived with for many years) and a son, Doug (Pam) Nicholson of Napoleon, Ohio. Also, Martha is survived by a sister, Ann Dawson in Toledo.
Martha was an extremely kind and loving person who was always willing to help others. She loved spending time with many friends, traveling, going out to eat, and spending several winters in Florida.
Martha’s greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, Brian (Danielle) Nicholson of Bryan, Ohio and Megan (Matthew) Coons of Saline, Michigan. Adding to her joy were her four great-grandchildren Ana, Levi, Judah, and Silas.
The family will be conducting a memorial open house honoring the life and legacy of Martha Nicholson on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 2 - 4 PM at the Napoleon Church of the Nazarene, 630 Appian Ave, Napoleon, Ohio 43545. The family kindly requests that friends and family not send flowers. Instead, please consider donating to the Napoleon Church of the Nazarene, Henry County Hospital Foundation, or the Henry County Humane Society in honor of Martha.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day- and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8.
