NAPOLEON, OH – Edward John Arps, age 74, of Napoleon, died on Monday, July 27, 2026. Edward was born on February 2, 1952, in Napoleon to the late Johanas and Nora Arps. Edward was a 1970 graduate of Napoleon High School. He worked for The Campbell Soup Company and then Americold until retirement. In his free time, Edward enjoyed listening to music, attending shows, and dancing. Edward’s friends and family will remember him most for his great sense of humor, storytelling, and passion for politics. Edward put his hope and faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and he diligently sought to grow in his relationship with Him through the end of his life.

Edward is survived by his children, William J. Arps and Ashley C. Wright.

A memorial service will be held at Christ Community Church, 20172 County Road X, Ridgeville Corners, OH 43545, on August 9, 2026, at 1:30 PM, officiated by Pastor Zach Houck. Friends may gather at the church beginning at 1:00 PM. Flowers may be delivered to the church on August 9th between 12:00 – 1:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to the church, in Edward's honor.
