PLEASANT HILL, OH – Robert E. Jaynes, age 81, of Pleasant Hill, died June 14, 2024. He was born on December 12, 1942, in Dayton, OH, to the late David S. Jaynes and Phyllis Jaynes (Stout).

Robert was a 1960 graduate of Oakwood High School and worked for the City of Oakwood for 23 years. He loved his family first and foremost, God, boxing, idolizing Rocky Balboa, and baseball, especially the Cincinnati Reds. His family and friends will remember him as being caring and loving to everyone he met. Robert was often described as the type of person “who would give you the shirt off of his back”.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, David Jaynes; his sister, Shirley Hawk (Jaynes), and his son, Terry Jaynes.

Robert is survived by his children, Felicia (Jonathan) White Sr. and Brian Jaynes; brother, Richard Jaynes; grandchildren, Jessica (Dylan) McCubbin, Jonathon (Rylee) White Jr., Tyler Jaynes, Bailey Jaynes, and great grandchildren, Murphy McCubbin and Maisey McCubbin.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 19, 2024, from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1879 Old Staunton Rd, Troy, OH 45373. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Matt Harbour officiating. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Troy, OH. Family has asked that rather than sending flowers, please consider making a donation to Cornerstone Baptist Church, in honor of Robert.
