Huber Heights, OH – Edna Thomas, age 77, of Huber Heights, passed away Monday, April 22, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 29, 1946, in Saldee, KY to the late James and Laura Turner (Sebastian). Edna graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in accounting and taught Sunday School for 34 years. She was also an avid UK basketball fan and was devoted to her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. Friends and family will always remember her for her love of quilting and the passion to help and take care others.

Edna is survived by her husband of 55 years, Kenneth Thomas; son, Greg (Leslie) Thomas; daughter, Miriam (Jamie) Yost; grandchildren, Trevor, Molli, Tommy, Dylan, Wesley, and Andrew, and great grandchildren, Messiah, Melani, and Leo.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, Corbin, Arnold, Ashford, James Jr., and Charles Turner and sisters, Beatrice Watts, Eliza Burton, Lottie Pink, Mae Noble, Susie Hager, and Gracie Turner.

Visitation will be 12:00 PM Thursday, May 2, 2024, where a funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at Greenview Calvary Tabernacle, 8010 N. Main Street, Dayton, OH 45415. Pastor Tim Livingston will officiate. Burial will be at Arlington Cemetery, Brookville, OH. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Thursday between 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
