SPRINGBORO, OH – Elizabeth Eileen Cruz, known as Eileen, age 90, of Springboro, went to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on November 25, 2024. Eileen was born on December 23, 1933, in Chester County, PA, to the late Walter and Elizabeth (Slider) Milligan. Eileen worked as a registered nurse and on December 7, 1960, married the love of her life, Dr. Moises Beltran Cruz Jr. In 1968 they moved their family to Coudersport, PA where they spent 54 years until relocating to Springboro, OH.

Eileen, fondly known as Lola, was a woman of many talents who enjoyed being active in her church playing the organ, directing the choir and teaching in various Bible programs. She loved cooking for family and friends and always made everyone feel welcome. Her most enjoyable moments were spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be remembered by family and friends for her Godly character and her sweet and kind spirit who always put other's needs before her own.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Philip Cruz.

Eileen is survived by her husband of 64 years, Dr. Moises Beltran Cruz Jr.; children, Lizandra (James) Bonvillian, Leslie (David) Ruegsegger, Loralee (Gordon) Leach, Louanne Erlandson, Lynette (John) Keenan; daughter-in-law, Nancy (Cruz) Luteran; grandchildren, Benjamin (Jenna), Luke, and Joseph Bonvillian, Hannah Ruegsegger, Clara (Trent) Meyers, Lydia Ruegsegger, Krysti Anne Leach, T.J. (Meagan) Leach, Daniel (Camy), Jared, Jacob, and Joshua Erlandson, Lauren (Trevor) Wall, Nate (Skylar) Cruz, Philip Cruz, Nicole (Samuel) Reid, Madelyn, Andrew, and David Keenan; great grandchildren, Noah, Ava, and Marcus Bonvillian, Blair Leach, Cruz, Carmen, and Cora Wall, Harlan and Miller Cruz, as well as brother, Gordon (Sally) Milligan.

Visitation will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Washington Heights Baptist Church, 5650 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH 45429. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Marty Montgomery of First Baptist Church, Roulette, PA. Burial will take place at Springboro Cemetery. Flowers may be delivered to the church on Saturday between 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
