KETTERING, OH - Carole "Dianne" (Pendergraft) Simmerman, age 77, of Kettering, Ohio, went to be with her Savior on December 15, 2024, ending her seven-year battle with cancer. Dianne was born on June 19, 1947, in St Louis. Preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Velma "Penny" Pendergraft. Survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bob Simmerman; children, Michele Rittenhouse, Rob Simmerman, and Emily Trempe, and her sisters, Karen Selph, Lauren Martin, and Lee Ellyn Frailey.

At age five, her family moved to So. California. She graduated from Grenada Hills High School and from San Fernando Valley State College. She married Bob Simmerman on December 13, 1969. She was a loving mother, devoted follower of Christ, and a friend of many in the Dayton, Ohio area; having moved there with her family in 1988. She attended Washington Heights Baptist Church. In addition to her three children, she had a profound impact on her seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She loved God, had great insight into the truths of His Word, and was known for her talent and passions for sewing, quilting, stained glass creations, and antiquing.

Dianne will be privately interred at David’s Cemetery in Kettering, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Washington Heights Baptist Church, 5650 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, OH 45429 from 5:00 – 6:30 PM, where a service honoring Dianne’s life will follow at 6:30 PM.
