In loving memory of
Naomi Pacura
1982 - 2025
DAYTON, OH - Naomi Catherine Pacura, age 43, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on November 27, 2025, of natural causes. Born on May 8, 1982, Naomi lived boldly, honestly, and with a quick-witted humor that made countless moments lighter and more memorable. Above everything and everyone, her greatest love and source of pride was her son, Jordan.
From the moment he entered her life, Jordan became her purpose and her joy. Naomi was devoted to him—encouraging him, cheering him on, and celebrating every milestone and success. She spoke often about him, always with deep pride and genuine love. Being Jordan’s mother brought meaning and fulfillment to her life in a way nothing else did.
Naomi had the biggest heart, and it extended to all living beings. She rescued countless dogs and cats over the years—feeding, fostering, comforting, and protecting animals who needed help. Many animals found safety and love because Naomi made herself available to them when no one else would.
Her artistic spirit emerged from childhood and shaped her entire life. She expressed herself through drawing, poetry, and visual creativity—often sketching cartoons and illustrations to lift the spirits of others. At work, her creativity and empathy blended beautifully in her role as a medical technician. She brought warmth into clinical environments and was completing her nursing degree with a strong commitment to patient care. She was known for advocating for her patients, speaking up to ensure they received the respect, attention, and compassion they deserved.
Naomi had a dry, quirky sense of humor that she shared freely with those close to her. With friends and family, she was known for clever one-liners, inside jokes, and a candid way of seeing the world. In her younger years, she was a playful prankster—especially known for prank phone calls and other harmless mischief that became part of family memory.
She cherished her summers at Grand Lake Saint Mary’s with her grandparents—spending carefree days boating and wandering along the shoreline.
Naomi was preceded in death by her grandparents, W. George and Peggy Edens and John and Veta Pacura.
She is survived by her beloved son, Jordan; her mother, Teresa Pacura; her father, George (Jenni) Pacura; her sister, Elizabeth; her brothers, Matthew and Dylan; her two best friends Leah and Joan, and by her three beloved dogs—Duchess, Mylah, and Jax—who were loyal companions and sources of great comfort. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her son, her compassion for animals, her creativity, her humor, and her sincere, straightforward way of caring for others. Those who knew her take comfort in knowing that she has gone home to be with the Lord, reunited with loved ones who passed before her, and now rests in eternal peace.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 11:00AM-12:00PM at Light of the Nations OPC, 1501 E. Third Street, Dayton, OH 45403. A ceremony honoring her life and legacy will follow at 12:00PM, officiated by Rennes Bowers. Burial will be private. Instead of sending flowers, please consider making a donation to the church or to SICSA, Adopt-A-Pit Rescue, or another nonprofit organization devoted to rescuing dogs, continuing Naomi’s legacy of compassion and care for animals in need. Donation envelopes will be provided at the church. If you are sending flowers, please arrange for delivery to the church on Tuesday between 9:00-11:00AM.
