In loving memory of

Frank Doughman

1948 - 2026

BELFAST, OH – Frank Floyd Doughman, age 78, of Belfast, died peacefully at home on February 17, 2026, after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Mariemont, OH on January 30, 1948, to the late Floyd and Bernice (Foxbower) Doughman. Frank served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After a tragic event, which caused him to lose both hands, he was honorably discharged. While in the military, Frank earned a Bronze Star, three Purple Hearts, an Army Commendation Medal, a National Defense Service Award, a Vietnam Service Medal, a Republic Vietnam Campaign Medal with Service Combat Infantryman Badge, Parachutist Badge, and Sharpshooter Badge. Outside of his time in the military, Frank lived his entire life in Ohio and on January 14, 2004, in Clarksville, OH he married Bobbi Bucknell. He worked many jobs during his lifetime including driving salt trucks and commercial lawn mowers for the City of Columbus. Frank also enjoyed junking vehicles and most recently worked as a driver for the Amish in and around Hillsboro, OH.

Frank was happiest when he was fishing, mowing a lawn, junking, working in his garden, or driving someone somewhere. He could be considered as “rough”, often speaking his mind regardless of how it made people feel. If you could get past his tough exterior, you would discover his heart of gold. He would help anyone anytime, as long as he was able.
Frank is survived by his wife of 22 years, Bobbi Doughman; brother, Dennis (Sheila) Doughman, and sister, Martha (Ron) Watson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Marlene, Marsha, Roger, Leroy, Donald, Jim, Gilbert, Sheila, and Sandy.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Dayton National Cemetery, 4100 W. Third Street, Dayton, OH 45427, with military honors. At the family’s request, please do not send flowers. For additional information and to view Frank’s online obituary, please visit www.churchfuneralsdirect.com.
