Nancy Venditti
1933 - 2024
CANTON, OH - Nancy (Anastasia) Venditti of Canton, age 91, went home to be with the Lord after an extended illness on Friday, November 15, 2024. Nancy was born on June 9, 1933, to the late Nick (Tsaftarides) and Simela (Keloglou) Paul, who emigrated from Pontus Asia Minor.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Venditti; father-in-law and mother-in law, Antonio and Carmela (Diano) Venditti; brother, Paul (Angeline) Paul; brothers-in-law, Louis (Anita) Venditti, Loretto Venditti, and William Venditti; sisters-in-law, Phyllis (Claude) Wise, Lena (Frank) Cirone, and Theresa Fleming.
She is survived by her daughters, Vicki (Keith) Wilson and Carmela (Donald) Bendetta; grandchildren, Anastasia Bendetta, Keith (Mallory) Wilson II, David Wilson; sisters, Bessie Vlahos and Georgia (John) MacDonald; brother, Harry (Sharon) Paul; brother-in-law, Thomas Fleming, and sister-in-law Marlene Venditti.
Nancy was an accomplished hairdresser and seamstress. She worked at several beauty salons and was an instructor at National Beauty College. Throughout her life she had many interests and hobbies including swimming, lifeguarding, painting, cooking, gardening, golfing, and she even taught herself how to ride a unicycle!
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 4705 Fairhaven Ave NW, Canton, OH 44709. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m., at the church, with Rev. Fr. Nicholas Halkias officiating. Interment will be at Henry Warstler Cemetery, Canton, OH. Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations can be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, in honor of Nancy. However, if sending flowers, please have them delivered to the church on Thursday between 9:00-11:00 a.m. The family would like to extend their deep gratitude to the staff at Bethany Nursing Home for the wonderful and compassionate care they provided to Nancy.
