CANTON, OHIO – Kathie Sue Buerger, age 74, of Dellroy, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. She was born on March 12, 1951 in Millersburg, Ohio to the late Donald Francis and Beverly June (Phillips) Chanay.

Kathie and Bill married on November 5, 1983 and celebrated 42 years together. In her younger years, Kathie was a manager at a book publishing company, applying her legal secretarial degree that she received from Readel College, but later took her career calling as homemaker and Mom. She homeschooled her children and assisted in the Good News Club after school program. She was the “go to” matriarch who organized all the family’s reunions and events. Kathie was a dedicated member of Bible Believer’s Baptist Church for 34 years. She had a passion for sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with anyone she knew. She financially and prayerfully supported Christian radio and the Plus or Minus 60 TV show. Kathie was known as a blessed child of God, a great wife, compassionate mother, loving grandmother, loyal sister, and amazing aunt. She was full of love and compassion for her grandchildren in Ohio and in South Carolina. Through the years, she enjoyed baking with them and sending them special notes. She enjoyed working in her kitchen preparing new recipes, as well as getting dirty in the garden and coloring the world with her flowers.

Kathie is survived by her husband, William Louis Buerger; her sons, Charles Randall Clevenger, William Tyson (Krystal) Buerger, and Donald Travis Buerger; her grandchildren, Carla Christian, Anastasia Clevenger, Alexis Duffley, Kendall Bean, Kadassah Buerger, Kalilah Buerger, Kalistah Buerger, and Katarinah Buerger; her great grandchildren, Lily Lancaster and Lincoln Duffley; her sister, Patty Chanay, brother, Roger (Alice) Yoder and nephew, Aaron Litten.

The family will receive friends at Bible Believer’s Baptist Church, 5360 E. Center Dr. NE. Canton, OH, on Friday, July 11. Visitation will be from 11 AM -12 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12 PM with Pastor Andrew Decker officiating.
